After many years in construction-defect law in Southern California, David Epstein opened his own law firm in Laguna Beach. An odd set of circumstances led to his commissioning Reeder & Co. to provide his new corporate identity.

David's commitment to his clients is to provide results. Sometimes, the negotiations require a steady, firm hand. Hence, the logo created itself.

Although a bit unusual for an attorney, the resulting mark – a hammer casting a "gavel shadow" – carries the appropriate message.

In applying the mark, Reeder & Co. created letterhead, envelopes and business cards.
